Robert Frank Scholarship

Background:
Robert A. Frank, CPO/LPO, was a founding member and the first Treasurer of the NJ Chapter AAOP. Bobby was the Treasurer of the NJ Chapter for 13 years. In October 2008, he passed away at the age of 63. He was well respected and loved by his peers the thousands of individuals he helped over his long career. This scholarship was developed to honor his legacy and to acknowledge his vast contributions he made to the NJ Chapter during his tenure.

Procedural Information:
Any individual currently enrolled in an accredited O&P program and a New Jersey resident will be eligible for the scholarship. They must complete an application with all the associated paperwork. A panel of three judges will be comprised of the current President, the Immediate Past President and one past president of the NJ Chapter of AAOP. The winner of the Scholarship will be announced at the, Annual NJ Chapter Meeting in Atlantic City, in November of each year. All decisions of the panel of judges will be final. The NJ Chapter AAOP reserves the right to use the information provided in the awards presentation and any associated publicity.

Award:
The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship to be used to pay for tuition, room & board and/or books. This will be an annual award and individuals in programs, longer than one year, may apply again in their second year.
